Scientist Assay and Product Development, Next Generation Sequencing

Based on our proprietary and widely published Targeted Locus Amplification (TLA) technology platform, our solutions are considered as the gold standard for the genetic characterization and quality control of genetically engineered cell lines, immunotherapy products and animals. We routinely support all leading pharma, biotech and academia globally in the fields of genome editing, biopharmaceutical drug development, cell and gene therapy and genetically engineered (animal) models.

Currently, we are looking for a (sr) Scientist Assay and Product Development to join our Assay and Product Development team. In this position, your primary responsibility will be to perform lab experiments, maintain accurate records, analyze data, and draft detailed development and validation reports in accordance with ICH guidelines. Your extensive experience with sequencing / next-generation sequencing (NGS) will be crucial to ensuring the success of critical projects within the team.

  • Participate in the design, management, and execution of analytical NGS-based method development, qualification, and validation studies.
  • Perform lab experiments, maintain accurate records, perform data analysis and interpretation, and draft detailed reports.
  • Write and update documentation (e.g. SOPs)
  • Present project updates and results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Guide and collaborate with product developers in A&PD team to ensure project success.
  • Assist with R&D lab management

Requirements

  • You have a BSc/MSc degree or PhD in Molecular Biology or equivalent
  • You have comprehensive knowledge and experience with NGS-based methods
  • You have hands-on experience with molecular methods (e.g. ddPCR) and long-read sequencing
  • You preferably have experience with assay development and validation under QMS (ISO, GMP)
  • You are result-driven, aiming for the highest quality
  • You are customer-oriented and comfortable in a commercial R&D environment
  • You are fluent in English, both in speaking and writing
  • You enjoy working in a team
  • You are available at least 32 hours per week
