Job Description
For our location in Kaiseraugst we are looking for you!
- Develop robust analytical methods in GC-MS and LC-MS for small molecules, including feasibility studies, development, and validation
- Coordinate international customer projects focused on trace analysis (e.g., genotoxic impurities) using GC-MS and LC-MS
- Conduct analytical testing in compliance with GMP and ISO9001 standards
- Prepare and review technical documents, including analytical method development reports, protocols, and analytical test procedures
- Drive innovation by implementing new technologies and strategies to enhance analytical capabilities
- Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support to internal teams and clients
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and scientific excellence
- Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Manage/coordinate quality events, deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) as required
- Ensure all activities adhere to applicable regulatory, quality, and safety standards
- Review and analyze data to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Sciences, or a related field
- Strong experience with LC-MS and GC-MS instrumentation and techniques, including method development, validation, and troubleshooting with at least 5 years of experience specializing in mass spectrometry, particularly in quantitative trace analysis
- Proven experience in a GMP-regulated environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent customer relationships
- Collaborative team player who is eager to share knowledge and contribute to the team’s success while continuously improving personal capabilities
- High level of discipline, sense of responsibility, and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is an advantage
