(Senior) Lab Technician Synthesis

Job Description

For our location in Basel we are looking for you: A passionate Lab Technician who is enthusiastic about realising our diverse laboratory work. If you also have a certain technical affinity, then our Basel team would be delighted to get to know you.

• Independent performance of organic synthesis work on a laboratory and kilo-lab scale (including pressurized reactions in autoclaves, work-up and purification operations)
• Application of various analytical methods (e.g. HPLC, GC, LCMS and NMR)
• Recording of experimental data in the electronic laboratory journal
• Responsibility for devices and equipment 
• Close collaboration with Project Leaders, Quality and Scientists 

Requirements

• Completed training as a chemical laboratory technician with basic knowledge of organic chemistry
• Solid English and German language skills 
• Solution oriented and team-oriented personality with the awareness to handle hazardous substances carefully and to comply with safety regulations
• Experience of working under ISO and in the field of API synthesis under GMP is an advantage
• Experience in process development and process optimization
• Experience in the safe scaling of reactions from g to multi-kg scale
• Knowledge of handling analytical equipment (HPLC, GC, etc.)
• Mastery of common basic operations in a synthesis laboratory (e.g. column chromatography, crystallization, extraction, etc.)
• Digital affinity and a general solid technical understanding is an asset
