Job Description
The HR Director for North America is responsible for all HR related topics for Solvias across North America. Based in RTP, NC this role is responsible to develop, drive and execute the regional People strategy in alignment with the global People and Business strategy. As Solvias footprint in North America expands and our new Site in RTP is opened, the HR Director will be responsible for a broad range of activities spanning along the entire Employee-Lifecycle. The incumbent will be an integrated member of the US Leadership team acting as a strategic sparring partner and advisor to senior leaders. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who wants to be part of building up the business in the US and being part of our continued growth journey.
Essential Job Functions
- Strategic Planning and Business Partnership: Aligns HR strategies with business goals, including workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning. Collaborates with leaders to align HR initiatives with business objectives and acts as a trusted advisor to management and understands the business’s needs and challenges.
- Employee Relations: Serves as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, resolving conflicts and handling grievances.
- Performance Management: Facilitates the performance management processes. Coaches leaders and employees to drive engagement and high performance.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, conducts interviews, and facilitates onboarding processes.
- Employee Development and Engagement: Identifies talent. Develops leaders and key members of the organization in close collaboration with managers. Works proactively to identify and address engagement and culture challenges. Promotes a positive work environment.
- Compensation and Benefits: Ensures fair and equal pay. Manages promotion processes.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Uses HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR strategies and makes improvements. Prepares regular reports on HR initiatives, employee engagement, turnover, and other key metrics for leadership review.
- HR Policy and Compliance: Ensures HR policies and practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Educates employees and managers on HR policies and best practices. Promotes fair and ethical behavior. Updates HR policies as necessary and ensures they are aligned with organizational needs and industry standards.
- HR Projects: Leads and/or contributes to HR-projects, initiatives and programs on local or global level.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational development, psychology or Business administration, or equivalent experience, required. A master’s degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
- Confirmed progressive HR experience or equivalent experience.
- Significant expertise in HR-related topics: employment law, employee and labor relations, compensation, talent attraction and development.
