Senior Commercial Proposal Lead
Job Description
Located at our large molecule headquarters in RTP, North Carolina, the Senior Commercial Proposal Lead will be responsible for consolidating proposals processes and generating customer-facing proposals for Solvias’ Molecule & Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP) testing services in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) laboratory environment in Morrisville, NC.
Essential Job Functions
- Grasp and define the scope of (bio)pharmaceutical projects (RFQ, RFPs) regarding the analytical needs in each phase of the drug development process of our customers
- Evaluate and prepare the technical aspects of the bids
- Support Sales and Customer Project Leaders in the buying phase and ensure technical input from SMEs from the lab operations, where needed
- Coordinate the efficient planning and pricing of large projects using organizational, planning, financial and scientific skills
- Communicate with customers, understand and translate their needs into a proposal/RFP
- Qualify incoming opportunities and generate technical proposals
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of analytical packages and their application across different biopharmaceutical modalities throughout the drug development lifecycle
- Robust scientific background coupled with a genuine curiosity to thoroughly understand the work and capabilities of Solvias
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, facilitating decision-making and gathering input to drive operational support for project opportunities
- Keen awareness of the commercial landscape, with a focus on speed and efficiency to advance discussions with clients promptly
- Flexibility to tailor approaches based on the diverse requirements of different customers, ensuring alignment with their specific needs
- Support opportunity pricing alongside the commercial leads
- BSc/Masters in Life Sciences with 5+ years relevant experience in a Life Science organization, or similar role (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience working in a GMP environment
Other Desired Skills/Abilities
- Prior direct or indirect experience in the generation of scientific commercial technical proposals
- Hands on experience using a CRM system and ERP system
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong decision-making ability: makes sound decisions independently and quickly in the best interest of the facility and employee safety
- Experience of working cross-functionally in a global organization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in CRO/CDMO environment
